About Sarah.

I am filled with wonder at the universe around us, and a desire to know more about it.

I have always loved learning about the stories of the past that the rocks around us can tell – ancient oceans, long-vanished glaciers, forgotten deserts. I love looking at the stars and seeing them as places far from home and far into the past. As a child, I dreamed of working at NASA and exploring space. I pursued this goal and for many years, getting my Ph.D. in planetary geology. I worked as a scientist and an engineer for multiple NASA spacecraft exploring the solar system. I facilitated connections between international teams of scientists and engineers to solve problems and explore new worlds. I also discovered a love of sharing this adventure with the public.

Currently, I am focused on exploring ways to continue to share the excitement and beauty of the universe around us through speaking, writing, and art. If you are interested in having me speak to your group, please reach out using the contact form.
